Rob
In 1980 Rob had an inclination to become a drummer after hearing a certain Stuart Copeland of the Police, then later, Phil
Gould of Level 42.
In 1985 he decided to take up the bass, bringing a percussive element to the instryment.
After endless hours listening and trying to replicate line from the likes of Mark King, Phil Lynott, Sting and Bruce Foxton
of the Jam, Rob learned to play other styles and variations on the bass.
Throughthe 90s he was inspired by the Acid Jazz vibes which is still a major part of his playing today.
Rob has played with several bands throughout the 80s and 90s and in 2002, formed a tribute to Level 42: Level it up.
He has builthis own studio - the funk room - wherehe composes and records drum and bass lines.
Anything from funk, punk, rock, blues souldand jazz, he will play it...
